From the Tech-Simplified Desk of Rucheli:
Welcome back to another Systeme.io Sunday, friends! For those who joined us last week, it's wonderful to have you back. And if you're new here? You picked the perfect time to join our tech-simplification party!
This Week's TL;DR:
mapping out your first Systeme.io funnel (the simple way)
checking out the new calendar questions feature
an analog tech challenge that will make your next funnel way easier
So let's get started!
Can we just take a moment to talk about how INCREDIBLE Part 1 of The Rise of the Digital CEO was?! If you joined me for James Wedmore's training on Thursday, you know exactly what I'm talking about. My notepad is literally overflowing with game-changing insights!
And if you missed it? Don't worry! There's still time to catch the replay TODAY and get ready for Part 2 this Tuesday. I'll drop the link at the end of this email so you can join us (seriously, you don't want to miss this!).
As promised last week, today we're diving into setting up your first funnel in Systeme.io. After watching your responses roll in about which features you're most curious about, I noticed a pattern – many of you are ready to build something that actually CONVERTS but aren't sure where to start.
So let's make this happen, shall we?
🚀 Tech Truth Bomb: 4 Steps to Building Your First Funnel (Without Losing Your Mind)
Let's cut straight to the chase: building your first funnel doesn't have to be complicated.
I've seen too many coaches spend thousands on multiple tools, get completely overwhelmed with tech headaches, and then never actually launch anything. The whole point gets lost in the complexity!

Here's what I want you to know: a funnel is just a series of connected pages that guide people through a specific journey. That's it. No magic, no need for 47 different tools, and DEFINITELY no need to spend thousands.
When I'm working with my Design Build Scale clients, here's the exact process we follow to build high-converting funnels in Systeme.io:
Step 1: Start with the end in mind - Before touching any tech, get crystal clear on:
What are you selling? (your offer)
Who is it for? (your ideal client)
What problem does it solve? (your value proposition)
Step 2: Map out your funnel flow - Keep it simple for your first funnel:
Lead magnet page
Thank you page
Email sequence (3-5 emails)
Step 3: Create your pages in Systeme.io - The beauty of Systeme.io is that everything lives in one place:
Use templates to speed up the process (we have everything you need in Design Build Scale)
Focus on clear, compelling copy (not fancy design)
Make sure your call-to-action stands out
Step 4: Don't forget to set up your automations - Connect everything with simple automations:
When someone opts in → send lead magnet
After X days → send follow-up emails
When someone purchases → deliver product
Your funnel's success has almost nothing to do with fancy animations or complex tech setups and EVERYTHING to do with:
Having a clear offer that solves a real problem
Creating messaging that resonates with your ideal client
Building a straightforward path for them to follow
Systeme.io handles all the technical parts in ONE place:
Landing pages? ✓
Email sequences? ✓
Payment processing? ✓
Course/product delivery? ✓
Automation? ✓
Which means you can focus on what actually matters: connecting with your audience and delivering value.
🛠️ Systeme.io Tip of the Week: Calendar Questions (Goodbye Awkward Discovery Calls!)
Oh my goodness, y'all – Systeme.io just dropped a feature that's going to make your discovery calls SO much more effective (and save you from those awkward "so... why are we here?" moments)!
You can now add custom questions to your calendar booking forms! 🎉

As someone who's spent years trying to get meaningful info from potential clients BEFORE we hop on calls (without making them fill out separate forms), this update has me doing happy dances in my living room.
Here's how to set it up (it's ridiculously simple):
When editing any page with a calendar element, click on your calendar block
Go to "Form" Step 2 in the sidebar editor
Add your custom questions (like "What's your biggest challenge right now?" or "What made you book this call?")
Save and publish!
When someone books a call with you, they'll answer these questions during the scheduling process, and you'll see their responses in:
A brand-new booking details card in your dashboard
Their contact profile under the Survey section
Your email notifications when they book
This means you can properly prepare for each call, understand their needs beforehand, and make every minute of your conversation count!
Pro tip from my Simple Systems Society members: Keep it to 2-3 questions max. Any more and you risk people abandoning the booking process. Quality over quantity!
🧠 Tech Simplification Challenge
This week's challenge is simple but powerful:
Map out your first (or next) funnel on paper before touching any tech. I want you to:
Grab a piece of paper (yes, actual paper!) or open a simple drawing tool
Draw boxes for each page in your funnel (lead magnet, thank you page, sales page)
Draw arrows to show how people will move through your funnel
Write down the key content for each page and email
Only AFTER you have this map, log into Systeme.io to build it
This old-school approach might seem too simple, but I promise it will save you HOURS of tech frustration. When you have a clear map, building becomes assembly rather than creation—and that's when the magic happens!
Next week, we'll be diving into creating lead magnets that actually CONVERT (because there's nothing worse than spending hours on a freebie nobody wants!).
What's your funnel idea? Comment below and share what you’re mapping out—I’d love to cheer you on or offer a quick tip!
